Season
Invitational Participation
Blackhawk Relays
This year will be the 15th year of the Relays, sponsored by The Blackhawk Swim
Team. This competitive
invitational involves seven teams from the surrounding county. The meet consists of various relay configurations. There are no individual events. The coaching staff prior to the
invitational will determine swimmers for this invitational.
Aquapentathalon
Held at Heather Farms in Walnut Creek this invitational meet pits the
top eight teams from last year’s County Championship. A team may enter only 2 swimmers from each age group/gender. There is no 6 and under age group at
this meet.
Each participant swims all 5 events – freestyle, breaststroke,
backstroke, butterfly, and IM – and his or her times are totaled. The swimmers
with the lowest total time in each age group place first.
Woodlands Invitational
Held at
Woodlands Swim Club in Walnut Creek this invitational is the oldest in the
area, boasting a 30 plus year tradition.
Teams may enter just three swimmers per event, per age group. Competition is second only to the
County Meet. It is a well-run meet
- though crowded and often times hot – families entered in the meet should plan
on a long, fun weekend.
Team and
individual high point trophies will be awarded.
League
Championship
The League Championship Meet alone determines our final place in the VSA
League for 2006. It is a very important
meet and will be attended by every member of the SEALIONS! Swimmers are eligible to swim three individual events and two
relays.
Please plan to work around this
date for your summer vacations.
County
Championship
This is the largest recreational swim meet in the nation and the SEALIONS final meet of the season. Swimmers
are eligible to swim two individual events for which they have qualified. Qualification is accomplished by
achieving a “county time”. County
qualifying times for all strokes are listed in the SWIMMER INFORMATION section of the website/There are no qualifying times for relays. Participation in relays is determined by Head Coach. Participation in relays is still
possible even if you have not qualified for an individual stroke.
